I am 30 years old and in my 3rd relationship with a woman. I told my very religious Mom that my roommate is actually my girlfriend. She asked if I was happy and I told her yes. She told me that if this is what I wanted she would support me with it. After Mom I moved on to my sister that I am very close to. Her and her husband are very religious with a new baby that I go see every day. I think that ultimately she already knew. When I told her she just smiled and said, "Really." Not sure what it meant. My sister already loved my girlfriend so it seemed okay. We still respect my Mom and sister and their religion by not flaunting in front of them. I would not flaunt if I was hetero either. It has been such a relief to write this because now I am out. If I really had the guts to tell them this is how I hoped it would go. Good luck to everyone out there!
