I've just been "coming out" since last year... what does 'coming out' really mean? Acceptance of oneself I think more than anything... I've always been bi; but just over a year ago I accepted myself for who I am - and its WONDERFUL! Okay; I'm a lesbian and proud! And I want to live my life and be accepted for who I am - I'm 41 by the way. Yet it is hard; as if I have to keep myself secret from old friends with husbands and children; and especially my mother who wants grandchildren (and isn't very open-minded).
